カメフジツボを求めて全国をサンプリングしている際についでに採集していたシロスジフジツボ Fistulobalanus albicostatusの標本を特に使うあてもなく持っていたところ、台湾のフジツボ研究者Benny Chan博士たちが集めていた台湾・香港の標本と合わせて解析してみようという共同研究のハナシになり、一緒に解析した内容です。

解析の結果、シロスジフジツボは遺伝的に異なる3つの集団に分かれていることが示されました。
